Welcome to the ISSUP UK National Chapter!
The ISSUP UK is a consortium made up of three organisations, all of whom have substantial experience in the substance use field.
The Consortium will be led by Addiction Professionals, a UK-based charity whose mission is to develop, support, and provide training, education, and accreditation to those working and volunteering in the addiction sector with the aim of raising standards for the benefit of those accessing services and their communities. They also seek to promote the positive contributions the addiction sector makes to the wider public
Adfam is a leading families and addiction charity based in England. They are there for all the millions of people affected by someone else’s drinking or drug use. Their vision is that family members affected by substance use or gambling are heard, valued and have access to support; that’s why they do what they do.
University of East London (UEL), led by the Department of Psychology and Human Development School of Childhood and Social Care. UEL is a careers-first university rooted in inclusion, innovation, and real-world impact. For more than 125 years, they have prepared students from all backgrounds with the skills, confidence, and experience needed to succeed in today’s changing world.
