The ISSUP team held a three-day staff meeting in Windsor, UK from 7 – 9 February 2017. The meeting offered a chance to reflect on the organisation’s achievements so far, as well as to consider and evaluate its future objectives which will look to further ISSUP’s contribution to the professionalisation of the substance use prevention and treatment workforce.

The International Consortium of Universities for Drug Demand Reduction (ICUDDR) conference offers a great opportunity to learn about substance use university education, training, research, international collaboration and networking, and substance use professionals.
The main conference will be held in Prague on June 20-21, 2017 with pre-conference events and workshops on June 19, 2017.

The First Recovery Conference was held from 16-18 December 2016 at Parjatan Motel and Youth Inn in Kuakata, Bangladesh. The event was organized by SANJOG ( A Network for Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers in Bangladesh). More than 300 people (recovered people, family members of the recovered, drug treatment and rehabilitation centers authorities and SANJOG Executive Committee Members) participated in the Recovery Conference.

Vatican City's Pontifical Academy of Sciences hosted a workshop on drug use with some organisations working around the world in the areas of research, prevention, treatment and policy development. Teacher’s Training Program:
Two teachers training and six school awareness programs were implemented in Pakistani private schools in Sultanabad, Lyari, and Korangi and in Aga Khan Schools. A total of 80 teachers participated in the training program and almost 1,800 students were reached through school awareness programs.
