NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, represents the professional interests of more than 100,000 addiction counselors, educators and other addiction-focused health care professionals in the United States, Canada and abroad. NAADAC’s members are addiction counselors, educators and other addiction-focused health care professionals, who specialize in addiction prevention, treatment, recovery support and education. An important part of the healthcare continuum, NAADAC members and its 47 state and international affiliates work to create healthier individuals, families and communities through prevention, intervention, quality treatment and recovery support.

Approximately 80% of those with co-occurring disorders have screened positive for lifetime exposure to traumatic brain injury (TBI). Many counselors are uncomfortable with the complex neurological sequelae that can serve as a complicating factor in treatment. In this session, we will explore the basics of TBI, including the relationship between TBI and substance use disorder (SUD).

Conflict Resolution for Recovery (CRR) is a two-day therapeutic training that is skill-based and focused on the brain, including how the brain works in conflict and strategies to affect the quality of recovery in relationships. Upon completing the 12-hour training, participants will earn a Certificate of Completion for 12 CEs.
