The school-based drug prevention training program under study is about the combined use of an online learning format and a traditional face-to-face session. This study aims to identify the factors that facilitated or impeded the successful implementation of a hybrid learning approach. Twelve faculty and staff members at a university completed the e-course, which was designed to last 10 weeks and was delivered via the HeK platform. The in-person class, on the other hand, was designed and implemented by the master trainers. Results show a significant, moderate increase in participants’ scores...

This joint report by the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) examines the trafficking and exploitation of children by gangs in Haiti. It highlights how poverty, displacement, social exclusion and limited access to education increase children’s vulnerability, particularly among children living on the streets, in displacement sites or in highly marginalised communities.

The report documents how gangs recruit children through threats and violence, but also through offers of money, material support...

This qualitative study explores the experiences of young people involved in drug trafficking in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico. Based on interviews with 16 young adults, the research examines why they joined drug trafficking, how they perceived the risks, and how they viewed their future within and beyond criminal networks.

The findings suggest that many participants were attracted by the prospect of financial gain, social acceptance, recognition, and the hope of achieving a successful future. For many, drug trafficking was viewed not only as a source of income but also as a pathway for personal...
