Many of our clients react to strong emotions by trying to get rid of them through the use of substances. Mindfulness can help clients manage uncomfortable feelings and avoid impulsive reactions or acting out. Mindfulness techniques can be added to standard treatment protocols and programs for little to no cost, and they can be used with both staff and clients.
