Adolescence is a unique and active period of development. Differential diagnostic understanding and treatment is complicated, specialized, and vital. Often, protective change and treatment progress can be stalled by unrecognized areas of risk and need.
Although there have been thousands of published articles on FASD, there still remains limited research specifically on adolescents and adults with FASD. As individuals diagnosed with FASD continue to age, the “need to know” across a broad spectrum of areas continues to be critically important for identifying clinically relevant research questions and directions.
This webinar is for teachers, school staff, parents and others who are interested in understanding the effect of drugs on the adolescent brain. It will explore the development of adolescent brain and how this process is interrupted by the use of alcohol, MDMA and cannabis.
