ISSUP USA is hosted by Friends of ISSUP, an independent, not-for-profit corporation based in the United States of America. The National Chapter was established in 2025 and has been created to support the substance use workforce in the US.
ISSUP USA plans to engage with key stakeholders, governments, international and national organizations, universities, embassies and healthcare institutions to ensure that access to evidence-based substance use materials is available to the US workforce.
We will do this by:

Increasing access to free professionalization tools, networks and support to US members of the workforce

Create a network of connected US-based substance use workers and volunteers

Increase understanding of evidence and best practice for the substance use workforce

Provide access to training for substance use workers
By being part of ISSUP, the US Chapter plans to share knowledge across the global substance use workforce.
