ISSUP Uganda (UYDEL) Five-Day Universal Prevention Curriculum Training

ISSUP Uganda in collaboration with Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL), is organising a five-day Universal Prevention Curriculum (UPC) training.

The UPC is a professional training programme designed to equip practitioners with evidence-based knowledge and practical skills to prevent substance use and related harms. Grounded in the UNODC International Standards on Drug Use Prevention, the training will strengthen participants’ ability to work effectively with young people, families and communities.

Dates: 31 August–4 September 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. daily
Venue: UYDEL Rehabilitation Centre, Masooli–Gayaza Road, Kampala
Duration: Five days

Who should attend?

The training is intended for:

  • University students and interns
  • Social workers
  • Youth and community workers
  • Prevention practitioners

What participants will gain

Registration requirements and fees

Applicants must have a minimum qualification of a degree and must be available to attend all five days. An active telephone number and email address are required for registration.

Students: UGX 40,000
Working professionals: UGX 50,000
