Casa Rosetta Association, ETS (Third Sector Entity) Social Enterprise (host organisation for ISSUP Italy), in association with the Italian Federation of Therapeutic Communities (FICT), are pleased to share various initiatives to commemorate World Drug Day, International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, on Friday, 26 June 2026.
One of these initiatives is a theatrical production, taking place on World Drug Day itself, which reinterprets the myth of Odysseus (Ulysses) as a metaphor for recovery from addiction and personal healing. This production benefits from the collaboration of the residents from the therapeutic communities of Casa Rosetta (Terra Promessa and La Ginestra in Caltanissetta, and L'Oasi in Caltagirone). At the heart of this narrative is the person - not the addiction, not the distress, not the wound, but the individual in their entirety. Each person is the bearer of a unique history, shaped by vulnerabilities and resources, setbacks and potential. True care then transforms into an encounter: it is listening, presence, and accompaniment.
