Connecting Sectors, Creating Impact
A United Response on Drugs
This year’s event will take place in the City of Accra, Ghana, from 22 - 26 June 2026. Under the theme “Connecting Sectors, Creating Impact: A United Response on Drugs,” the event will bring together over 500 professionals from 35+ countries to strengthen collaboration across health, treatment and recovery professionals, prevention practitioners, market disruption and supply, law enforcement, policy makers, and community-led groups like youth and volunteers.
Dedicated to advancing an evidence-based, coordinated, and sustainable response to substance use, the conference will create space for global experts and local leaders to exchange knowledge, bridge policy and practice, and strengthen the substance use workforce in response to evolving global drug trends.

The event is organised by the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), Ghana’s lead agency dedicated to combating drug-related crime and promoting public safety, in partnership with the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), a global network of more than 49,000 members. This landmark convening will foster meaningful collaboration, spark innovation, and drive practical, cross-sector solutions that strengthen the global response to substance use.
