Welcome to this edition of the ISSUP Newsletter! We’re excited to announce that this year’s conference will take place in Accra, Ghana, from 22–26 June 2026, under the theme “Connecting Sectors, Creating Impact: A United Response on Drugs.” Organised by the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) in partnership with the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), the event will focus on strengthening collaboration and advancing evidence-based responses to evolving drug trends.
Abstract submissions are now open for oral and poster presentations, and we warmly encourage contributions from across prevention, treatment, recovery, law enforcement, policy, research, education, and community initiatives. The call for abstracts closes on 25 March 2026.
