
Dr. Elvina Katerin Sahusilawane, Sp.KJ is a psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience in addiction treatment and mental health care. Currently serving as the Head of Lido Rehabilitation Center at the National Narcotics Board of Indonesia (BNN), she has led various divisions within BNN, including as Head of the Medical Rehabilitation Division (2019–2023).
dr. Elvina holds a psychiatry degree from the University of Indonesia and began her career as a general practitioner in both humanitarian and institutional settings. She has been actively involved in national and international capacity-building efforts, including with UNODC and the Colombo Plan, focusing on substance use disorders, women's treatment curricula, and community-based rehabilitation. Her clinical leadership and training expertise have contributed significantly to advancing addiction psychiatry in Indonesia.
In addition to her clinical and administrative leadership, dr. Elvina has contributed to the field through research on topics including the motivational profiles of individuals undergoing rehabilitation, the influence of addiction severity on psychopathology and quality of life, as well as telepsychiatry satisfaction and utility patterns in Indonesia's drug rehabilitation system. Her work supports evidence-based practice and innovation in addiction psychiatry nationwide.
